Here’s a mad fact – back in Victorian days, some brothels had secret tunnels! Yeah, for posh toffs to sneak out if the coppers raided. Clever, eh? Gets me laughin’ thinkin’ of ‘em scramblin’ like rats! But it ain’t all chuckles – saw a lass once, eyes empty, and it gutted me. “There’s a poetry in his hate,” like Jesse says in the movie, and I reckon there’s a grim rhyme in them places too – beauty and rot all mashed up.
